Our review of the annotated history for Title 12, United States Code section 1701j-3 reveals the following legislative history. Each public law (hereinafter referred to as Pub.L.) represents a separate congressional enactment or bill.
Added: Pub.L. 97–320, title III, § 341, October 15, 1982, 96 Stat. 1505. While the statute is in the National Housing Act chapter of the codes, § 1701j-3 was added as part of the Thrift Institutions Restructuring Act and as part of the Garn-St. Germain Depository Institutions Act of 1982.
Amended: Pub.L. 98–181, title I [title IV, § 473], November 30, 1983, 97 Stat. 1237 to substitute “With respect to a real property loan secured by a lien on residential real property containing less than five dwelling units, including a lien on the stock allocated to a dwelling unit in a cooperative housing corporation, or on a residential manufactured home, a lender” for “A lender”.
