Our review of the annotated history reveals the following legislative history (every “c.” below represents a separate legislative bill):
Added: 1997, c. 403
Amended:
• 1998, c. 257: Amended the introductory clause of subdivision (b) by substituting “Except as provided in subdivision (c), it” for “It” at the beginning; “intended for sale to the ultimate consumer” for “and subcontainer”; and “all” for “both” after “end with”. Added subdivision (b)(2). Redesignated former subdivision (b)(2) to be subdivision (b)(3). Added subdivisions (c) and (d).
• 1999, c. 197: Amended subdivision (c) by substituting “This section” for “Paragraph (1) of subdivision (b)”; deleting “, including export to other states and territories of the United States, and foreign countries, and eggs that are packaged for military sales” at the end of the first sentence; and adding the second sentence. Added subdivision (e).
• 2002, c. 535: Added the second sentence of subdivision (a)(1)
